France has always been a very active sailing nation and in the port of La Rochelle, French pupils have the option to pass a portion of their Baccalaureat in Laser sailing.

Light winds dominated the first day of the Laser European championships on Tallinn Bay EST where two races were sailed.

Next Sunday is the start of the European Championships of the Laser Standard and Laser Radial classes

Cold temperatures and a shifty breeze of 15 knots welcomed the sailors on the first day of the 5th ISAF World Cup event in medemblik NED.

The day started promising as the sun was shining and all expected some see breeze to develop.

The day started with a beautiful sunshine, so all were looking forward some decent see breeze to come later on.

A cloudy day expected the competitors at the regatta site, and all day the danger of fog seemed to be hovering over the race area.

After many successful years in Hoorn the Dutch Europa Cup regatta has moved to Scheveningen and this year it is part of the much larger Delta Lloyd North See Regatta.
