After many successful years in Hoorn the Dutch Europa Cup regatta has moved to Scheveningen and this year it is part of the much larger Delta Lloyd North See Regatta. Unfortunately, the regatta site is not fully ready at this point in time to welcome so many sailors, as it is basically an active construction site. The competitors were therefore very much looking forward to getting on the water. Although the Laser Standard and the Laser 4.7 fleets managed to get started, a few minutes after the first Laser Radial start dense fog descended on the area making any racing impossible, so the Race Committe was forced to cancel all racing for the day. Fingers crossed that things are going to get better tomorrow.
