Versoix, Switzerland
Despite unstable conditions, the full five races were run at Versoix.
Calella, Spain
Oriol Cornudella (ESP) and Sierhuis Cesar (NED) dominiated the Laser Radial and Laser Standard classes, respectively, from day one and were named champions at Calella.
Antibes, France
The first event of the 2011 Euro Masters Series was held in Antibes, with 32 Laser Standard and 28 Laser Radial sailors taking part. Wintry weather had hit the area, with very cold winds almost bringing snow to the Mediterranean coast. Racing started in a very light 5kn breeze, which almost died towards the end of the race on day 1. However a fresh 25 kn Easterly breeze filled in during the evening. Day two saw good sailing conditions in the sun. Despite the chilly temperature of 0o, sailors were able to complete the three races scheduled. The final day of racing saw Luigi Santocanale (FRA) win in the Laser Radials, while in the Laser Standard Charles Favre (SUI) was ranked number 1.
