The Laser Europa Cup and Youth Grand Prix is a series of highly contested regattas that take place in various venues across Europe throughout the racing season.
The competition is open to sailors of all ages, of all Laser rigs provided they are members of their District’s Laser Class. In excess of 1,500 sailors competed in the 2010 Series. Most entrants are European, however sailors from other regions are welcome to enter. And many international sailors already take part in several of the Europa Cup regattas.
The challenging competition and diverse range of sailors taking part in each event makes the Europa Cup an excellent platform to step up from competing in national regattas to taking part in European Laser Championships. It also provides an excellent opportunity to try out new tactics, and perfect sailing skills through experiencing differing racing venues and conditions.
The Europa Cup regattas qualify as ISAF Grade 2 or 3 events (depending on the venue). Therefore, if you would like to race your Laser against other talented sailors and people from the top of the ISAF Ranking List, why not join us in our beautiful European venues in 2011?
