Antibes Antibes

Antibes, France:

Antibes is situated between Cannes and Nice along the French Riviera at the South Coast of France. Plenty of sunshine and sandy beaches make Antibes a popular tourist destination.
The regatta will take place in the Eastern part of Antibes Bay (near to Nice). There will be a training session on the 21st and 22nd January between 1pm and 5pm. Registration will be 22nd January from 2pm to 6pm. The entry fee is € 70 EUR and includes a welcome drink and dinner. Accompanying guests can join the meal for € 20 EUR.

    Camping cars will be allowed to park free at the Yacht Club. Please let the club know the size of your vehicle when you email your entry form.

Driving information:

Nice Airport is approximately 20 minutes by car from the club. There is also a SNCF train station nearby.The GPS co-ordinates for the club are: 43 34 22 N and 07 37 80 E.

'Calella' by Rushmike

European Laser Masters Championship Calella, Spain

In 2009, the European Laser Masters Championshhip will be included in the overall scoring for the Euro Masters Series.
The European Laser Masters Championship is an open event. The Championship will be held separately for the Standard Rig and Laser Radial Rig and for each category.
Entries shall be made through the web site www.clubvelacalella.cat. (Alternatively, the Official Entry Form may be sent by fax to the Club Vela Calella office - Fax.: +34 972 615 354).
The entry deadline is 12th April 2008.
Social events during the championship will include a welcome dinner, regatta dinner, participants dinner and a prize giving ceremony. Full details will be available during registration.

Finale Ligure, Italy

After the unfortunate destruction of the club house in Laigueglia, this year's Italian Euro Masters regatta has been moved to Finale Ligure. Finale Ligure lies about 30km east of Laigueglia along the Italian coast and the host club for the event will be the Circolo Nautico del Finale. Click here to enter.

Antwerp town

Antwerp, Belgium

Antwerp is a culturally and architecturally rich city about 50km north of Bruxelles.
The regatta is organised by the Koninklijke Liberty Yacht Club and will take place at the Lake Galgenweel which is right next to the river Scheldt that runs along the north of Antwerp.
To get to the venue from the west, take the E17 Gent-Antwerpen, leaving at exit 17 Zwijndrecht-Burcht. Turn right into Burcht the Pastoor Coplaan. At the traffic lights, turn second left into the Dorpstraat. Follow the road along the river Scheldt until the lake Galgenweel on your left.
From the West, take the R1 circular road Antwerpen direction Gent E17, leaving at exit 6 Antwerpen-Linkeroever. Turn right at the traffic lights. Turn again right at the 3rd traffic lights into the Galgenweellaan. Follow until the end at the river Scheldt and turn right along the lake Galgenweel.

Monnickendam

Monnickendam, Netherlands

Monnickendam is a very old Dutch town within the province of North Holland on the coast of the IJsselmeer, It is only 15 km of the centre of Amsterdam and very near to the wellknown villages of Volendam and Marken.

Accommodation

Camping is possible on the harbour site. Therefore the following fees are applicable:

  • Tents: €20 EUR
  • Caravans and campers: € 25 EUR
  • Prizes include electricity and water for 1 person for the whole event. Each additional person €10 EUR

Breitenbrunn Yacht Club by Peter Nikolaus und Jaun Wickl

Breitenbrunn, Austria

Breitenbrunn, host of the 2007 European Laser Masters championship, will hold this year's Austrian Euro Masters Regatta. Breitenbrunn is situated in the far east of Austria by the Neusiedlersee, a lake which covers 315 square kilometers and makes for superb sailing territory.

Brombachsee

Grosse Brombachsee, Germany

"Grosser Brombachsee" is the name of the lake where the German Euro Masters regatta will take place. The host club is the Wassersportgemeinschaft Rangau e.V. in Enderndorf, about 50km south of Nuremberg.
Lake Brombach was just flooded in the year 2000 and is, with 9,3 km², the largest lake in the region.
Favourably situated and streched in east-west-direction, it provides perfect conditions for big regattas.
Prevalent wind directions are east- or westbound which meet the water surface perfectly. Even with wind from the north or south the lake is by far wide enough for racing courses.
The beach and the slip way are ideally situated in a calm bay at Enderndorf. There is enough space for all boats.
There are no known shoals.

For the fifth year in a row, the sailing club Nagu Segelsällskap Nauvo will host the Finnish Euro Masters regatta.

Malmo

Malmö, Sweden

Malmö is Sweden's third biggest city and is situated at the very southern tip of the country by the Kattegat coast.
The regatta will take place at the Malmö Segel Sällskap (MSS) and the racing area will be outside the Limhamn habour in Öresund.

Puck, Poland

Puck is a lively town on Poland's north coast, approximately 60km to the north-west of the historically important city Gdansk. A long spit stretches across the water from the east of Puck, creating a large, partially sheltered bay called Pucka bay around the harbour, making it an ideal venue for safe yet exciting sailing with northern to westerly winds between 10 and 20 knots.
This is the first year that the Euro Masters Series regatta will take place in Puck, Poland and it will run alongside the Laser Europa Cup.

Matosinhos, Portugal

Matosinhos is situated to the north of city Porto on the Portuguese coast. Average wind conditions range from 6 to 17 knots with a north-westerly breeze in fair weather and a south-westerly breeze in rainy conditions.
The Sport Club of Porto is reknown for promoting apres-sail friendship and putting on a good social program with a barbeque on the first day and a social dinner on the second day.
