The first racing day on December 28 started with a beautiful day sunshiny day. 25 standard, 36 radial and 60 4.7 sailors, from countries as remote as Finland or Portugal waited for some breeze to come. Although a race for the standards and the radials was started finally they had to be abandoned, so no racing was possible this day.
Day two started with and easterly wind of 15 to 20 knots, with very little swings, almost perfect sailing conditions, which held up all day. Three races were completed for all Laser fleets. In the standards Sergey Komissarov (RUS) is leading the ladder, in the radials Nenad Bugarin, (CRO) while in the 4.7 Anite Munjiza (CRO).
Similar sailing conditions are expected for the 3rd racing day, so fingers crossed.
