World Laser Masters Championship 2009 - Halifax CAN - Day 5 ... two more races for every fleet, this time in a perfect St-Margret's Bay sea breeze ..

After the lay day and the difficult sailing conditions during the first two days of the Championship, the perfect sea breeze - famous on the St-Margret's Bay - welcomed the competitor yesterday for the first time. Racing has become closer on top of two of the three Laser Standard fleets. Only in the Standard Apprentice category, the leader Adonis Bougiouris GRE (3/1) was able to extend his advantage on Brett Beyer AUS (1/4) slightly. In the Goldfleet of the Standard Masters however, Arnoud Hummel NED has closed up the gap to Scott Ferguson USA to 1 point, and in the Standard Grand Masters fleet, Mark Bethwaite AUS has come closer to Wolfgang Gerz GER after two race wins yesterday.
In the Radial Apprentices category however, Richard Bott AUS remains a class of its own with two race wins, similar to Carlos Wanderley BRA with the Radial Masters and Peter Heywood GBR with the Radial Grand Masters, both with two race wins too. Only Peter Seidenberg USA, the leader in the Radial Great Grand Masters fleet, had to let Kerry Waraker AUS (2/1 yesterday) come somewhat closer. All results and the daily report.
