World Laser Masters Championship 2009 - Halifax CAN - Day 5 ... - another successful 16-18 kn breeze racing day ....

After yesterday's races in a fresh 16-18 kn breeze, the candidates for some of the titles have clearly emerged. Today, on the last day of the event, two regattas by fleet are on the schedule. Scott Ferguson USA has to protect his 13 points lead on Arnoud Hummel NED in the Goldfleet of the Standard Masters. With 8 wins in 10 races, Richard Bott AUS will no doubt finish the competition of the Radial Apprentices with the title. The same is true for Carlos Wanderley BRA in the Radial Master fleet and Peter Heywood AUS with the Radial Grand Masters. In the Radial Great Grand Masters category however, there is a duel on top of the rankings between Peter Seidenberg USA and Kerry Waraker AUS at equal points. Suspense also in the Standard Grand Masters category with Wolfgang Gerz GER 4 points ahead of Mark Bethwaite AUS. Adonis Bougiouris GRE has an advantage of 5 points on Brett Beyer AUS with the Standard Apprentices. All results and the daily report.
