Although the Race Committee brought forward the time of the first start by two hours to 11.00am, the usual thermal breeze did not materialize before 1.30pm. In light southerly winds of 5-6 knots the Race Committee managed to run two races for the standard fleet but only one for the radials and the 4.7s. The race course was set close to the club-house so the public could really enjoy the racing. In the standard fleet the winner was Alessandro Meraga ITA, followed by Stig Steinfurth DEN and Jordi Capella ESP. For the radials the overall winner was Giovanni Coccoluto ITA, followed by Michelle Broekhuizen NED and Sydney Bussard SUI. Finally, for the 4.7s the overall leader-board looked like Benjamin Vadnai HUN, Mehmet Turkmen TUR and Sebastien Schneiter SUI. Results are posted on the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano web-site.
