Big shuffle at the top of the final standings at the Laser Standard European Championship on the last day after two more races were added. Stuart Godwin GBR ended up with the Championship trophy after 10 races and two discards, without ever wining a single race. It was his consistency and his solid sailing toward the end that put him ahead of Alexios Katsios GRE and Nik Pletikosa SLO. Catastrophe befell Eifion Mon GBR (67), who missed the podium after dominating the week. Mon, the Welshman, couldnt finish what hed started with a score of 18-29-10, and a full count in the final race when he and the equally unlucky Francesco Marrai ITA, who had title ambitions, were both BFDd.
