Getting the hang of the Laser again, eight-time World Champion Robert Scheidt BRA scored two firsts on the last day of the South- and Central American Laser Championships, but still fell short. The 2010 South and Central American Champion is Julio Alsogaray ARG who topped the 55-boat fleet and holding off Bruno Fontes BRA and Scheidt on the final day. The final standings Laser Standard.
In the Lasers 4.7 there was never a question about the winner. World Champion Jonathan Minetti ECU demolished the fleet, 31 points ahead of Ricardo de Castro BRA, and Juan-Ignacio Biava ARG, 3rd. Best lady was Arianna-Maria Villena ECU, in 10th overall in the 52 boat fleet. The report (in Portuguese).
