Yesterday, the Laser Radial South & Central American Championship off Florianopolis BRA ended with the races 8 and 9 without any impact on the results at the top. Mattheus Dellagnelo BRA remained first ahead of Alexander Zimmermann PER and Lucas Mattos BRA. Cecilia Carranza ARG finishing 6th overall, won the women's title. Stefano Mezzaferro BRA in 4th place was the best youth sailor. A total of 79 participants from nine nations were competing. The final results and the report (in portuguese).
Today, the Laser Standard and Laser 4.7 Championships will have the first starts. Robert Scheidt BRA, eight-time Laser World Champion, will attempt a comeback for this event, so stay tuned.
