Laser Radial - ISAF Youth Worlds - Istanbul TUR - Local hero keeps it cool

It was hot and light yesterday in Istanbul TUR at the Volvo Youth World Championships, with a long postponement until late in the afternoon. These conditions seem to agree very much with local hero Levent Ahiskali TUR in the Laser Radial boys, who added another second in yesterday’s lone race (no discards yet) for a grand total of five points. In second, a whopping 22 points back, is Herman Tomasgaard NOR (27), who won yesterday, followed by Ard van Aanholt AHO (29), who has family tradition on his side (father Cor was 4th in the Laser Worlds in 1979). It’s much closer in the Laser Radial girls where Chiara Steinmueller GER (26) is in the lead, followed by Michelle Broekhuizen NED (28) and Marketa Audiyova CZE (28).
