With two races in moderate but shifty conditions, the last ISAF World Cup event of the year started yesterday on the 2010 Olympic venue courses. Two races were sailed in both Olympic Laser classes. The huge fleet of the Laser Standards - 180 boats, split in three groups - has Andrew Murdoch NZL in the lead (ranks 1 and 2), followed by Marc De Haas NED and the Olympic gold medallist Paul Goodison GBR sharing the second place at equal points.
The 91 Laser Radials are sailing in two fleets. Marit Bouwmeester NED and Veronika Fenclova CZE both dominated their fleets by winning both races and took the early lead, followed by Sophie de Turckheim FRA. The event-website.
