Very light winds prevailed again on the fourth day of the Rio Olympic Test Event. However, the two Laser fleet were the most privileged, sailing close to the shore on Guanabara Bay, where a 7-10 kn wind filled in, allowing to complete one race per class.
With his second win in a row, Tom Burton AUS advanced on rank 4 overall. The new leader is Francesco Marrai ITA, Lee Parkhill CAN moved up on rank 2, while Tonci Stipanovic CRO flopped (rank 28) and descended on rank 3. Nick Thompson GBR and Robert Scheidt BRA on the 5th and 6th place reduced their deficits on rank 1 to 10, respectively 11 points.
Gintare Volungeviciute-Scheidt LTU extended her lead in the Radials with another race win. Paige Railey USA on 2nd is now 7 points back. Alison Young GBR on 3rd is already 20 points behind. The World Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED is having hard time with a 27 points' backlog after six races and rank 9.
