Tom Slingsby AUS continued his domination of the Laser Standard and took Gold after an epic medal race. Positions changed regularly with the light and shifty wind and several competitors fell victim to yellow flags or disqualification for excessive kinetics. Luka Radelic CRO was flagged twice and had to retire from the race. Javier Hernandez ESP lost the lead of the medal race on the last run and dropped to third overall being flagged once. Matias del Solar CHI was happy to pick up Silver while Paul Goodison GBR won the medal race and finished 5th overall.
Marit Bouwmeester NED, the event leader in the Laser Radial, never blinked and finished in style. Taking the fifth bullet of the week, she won the medal race and the Gold for the overall title, holding off Evi van Acker BEL and Veronika Fenclova CZE who took Silver and Bronze respectively.
