Laser - European Championships - Tallinn EST - Day 3 - More breeze, still tricky

Tuesday brought the strongest breeze so far in Tallinn at the Laser European Championships & Trophy 2010 with 18-25 knots of wind and big chop. See the comments by Clay Johnson USA. It also was quite cold as the day’s video recap shows. In the 148-boat Laser Standard two-time world champion Tom Slingsby AUS enjoyed the conditions with a third and a first in his group races to take the overall lead ahead of the 2004 Olympic silver medalist Andreas Geritzer AUT and the previous leader Rutger Schaardenburg NED. Geritzer leads the all-European standings.
In th88-boat Laser Radial, Tina Mihelic CRO remained in the lead for the third consecutive day, with a 2nd and 8th yesterday. Current world champion Sari Multala FIN added a 1st and a 2nd to her score to jump to 3rd overall, behind Charlotte Dobson GBR.
