Yesterdays action at the Laser European Championships was delayed due to thick fog. At around 2.30 pm, the gray curtain lifted somewhat and two races were held. In the148-boat Laser Standard, Rutger Schaardenburg NED was once again the Flying Dutchman, securing his third race win. In the fourth race, however, wind and luck both turned their back on him and he finished 26. Counting one discard, Schaardenburg has a perfect score of three points to lead Tom Slingsby AUS (6 pts.) and Andreas Geritzer AUT (8 pts.)
In the 88-boat Laser Radial, Tina Mihelic CRO continued her stellar performance with a first and second for a total score of four points (with discard). In second Maiken Schütt DEN (9 pts.), followed by Charlotte Dobson GBR (10 pts.)
