Yesterday, the Europacup started in Hyères FRA with a record participation of 516 (!) Lasers. All three classes - Standard, Radial and 4.7 - sailed two heats in a 16-18 knots breeze, decreasing to 10-12 during the day. In the Standards, Sweden sets the pace with Jesper Stalheim, Emil Cerdergardh, David Jansson and Victor Vasternas shuffled through the top three in both races. Unfortunately, the official website does not yet have full results. The [ilk=523]daily report[/ilk] does not give any information on the Radials or 4.7's, which should not surprise given the huge number of boats racing.The forecast predicts it will remain windy during the whole Easter weekend.
