The second half of the Laser 4.7 World Championship in Pattaya THA, started with a jury decision that shuffled the standings in the Under-16 Mixed division. Chaichanawoot Dee-nak THA (birth date May 11, 1994), who had a dominant lead after six races, was switched from the Under-16 Mixed fleet to the Under-18 Boys fleet, because he was found to be ineligible to race in Under-16. All his results were expunged and the scoring was adjusted. He is now listed as 46th and last in the Under-18 Boys with a score line that shows only DNS. The official Jury decision jury log details the case, but does not find fault with any party, so Dee-nak is allowed to sail the remaining four races in the Under-18 Boys class.
New leaders in the Under-16 Mixed division after eight races are Ryan Amlehn NZL and Mike Spearman AUS with 13 points each. There's a new leader in the Under-18 boys with former Optimist European Champion Etienne Le Pen FRA, who replaced Supakorn Pongwichean THA. In third is Jolbert Van Diojk NED. In the Under-18 girls division Amirah Hamid-Nur MAS continued to build her lead with a second and a first yesterday. She is followed by Ashley Lane and Caitlin Lakes AUS. Check the results..
