You've been in regattas where a race gets cancelled due to lack of wind. But you might have to go back a while to remember an entire regatta that gets cancelled because of snow. Not in Minnesota. In Spain. Sounds loopy? Well it happened. Barcelona and the Catalan coast got dumped on a couple of days ago, which is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Too bad for the Club Vela Calella and the 2010 Euro Laser Master Cup that was scheduled for this weekend. Here's the official communique: 'Due to the Snow Storm, the lack of electricity, services and accesses to Calella de Palafrugell, the organizing comitee has decided to cancel the race for major cause and against the will of Club Vela Calella.'
