The Laser Europa Cup started on Lake Garda 15th April 2010, the Peler, the wind that blows on the lake in the early morning has been weak and it results in a very strong and irregular Ora, the wind that blows lunchtime. At 1 pm the racing committee decides to start the races, the three different classes have been divided, the Standard and the 4.7 in front of Riva del Garda and the Radial in front of Torbole. In the Standard, the Italian Uberto Crivelli Visconti chooses the right and gets first to the first buoy, unfortunately, the Croatian Ivan Taritas overcomes him and keeps the first position until the end of the race. Same result for the Croatian in the 2nd race, and he gets the first place provisional standings. Second the Italian Luca Nasini, thanks to a third and a second place.
In the Radial class Tatiana Drozdovskaya form Byelorussia ends the first day of racing with two wins and gets first together with the Dutch Ben Koppelaar that achieves the same results. Third another Dutch, Yuri Hummel and fourth the young Italian Giovanni Coccoluto. Amongst the Italian women Francesca Clapcich stands seventh. In the 4.7, the first place goes to Oz Adam from Israel, that wins on the Swiss Guillaume Rigot and the Polish Mateusz Skrabaszewski.
