The 
International Laser Class Association European region, in association with SailCoach, is organizing a three days training clinic in Workum, the Netherlands, July 5-7, 2011 right before the Laser 4.7 European Championships. The main aim of this clinic is to give assistance to sailors coming from small countries or less developed regions of Europe to help their final preparation for the European Championships. To keep the coaching standards high the number of participating young sailors is limited to 12. Sailors outside Europe may also be considered, numbers permitting. The participation in this clinic is free of charge, but sailors must take care of their own accommodation, food and drink.
The clinic daily schedule will start each morning with a group briefing at 10:00hrs at the Workum regatta site and finish at around 17:00hrs. The clinic will combine classroom lessons with on the water exercises offering healthy competition and is followed up with debrief of tactical and strategy situations. Sailors will receive individual attention both on the water and with video analysis. It will also provide young 4.7 sailors with the opportunity to be coached by the most experienced Laser coaches available, including coaches who have been members of the SailCoach squad at the pre Beijing Olympic regatta.
